Practice the Four Gs

I recently spoke on a panel about work-life balance at the Hadassah 98th Annual National Convention in Atlanta.  One of the audience members shared a practice that works for her and I wanted to share it with you.

Every night, she takes a moment to think about four Gs:

  1. Something Great that happened that day.
  2. A Glitch. In other words, something that went wrong. (I love that word because it doesn’t have the same sting as “mistake” or “failure.”)
  3. Something she is Grateful for. (It might be a lesson learned from the glitch!)
  4. A Goal for the new day.

All of this could take less than a minute but will set the tone for a brighter tomorrow. It has for me.

Will you start practicing the four Gs?
