Earlier this month, I wrote a blog post about using vision boards as a tool to stay positive and focused on your goals. The response was overwhelming. On one LinkedIn group I contribute to, more than 100 professionals responded with their vision board stories. Those who had never created a board or even heard of one before committed to do their own.
That got me thinking . . . wouldn’t it be great if there was a place where people could inspire each other by posting their boards and sharing their stories? Now, there is!
Simply go to my Facebook Page and upload a picture of your vision board and share something about it. Tell us what’s on your vision board, how you use it, and what goals you’ve achieved. Got any vision board tips? Tell us about them.
I’ll go first. On my 2016 vision board pictured above, I included a mix of healthy habits (enjoying outdoor activities, drinking plenty of water, eating right) and a collage of logos representing corporate clients I want to work with or do more work with. Since my daughter Allyson is getting married in May, I put her bridal shower invitation as a symbol of all the upcoming celebrations I am joyfully planning. To give power to my bodacious big dream goals, I featured a map of the United States and the claim “I Speak in Every State!” and a graphic of country music artists with the statement “I Write Hit Country Songs!” You get the idea!
To jump start this ongoing flow of inspiration, here’s an incentive to share your vision board on my Facebook Page during the next two weeks. On Friday, March 4, I will randomly choose three participants to each receive a private Wisdom Mentoring session. In that one-hour session, I’ll show you how to use the strategies I write and speak about to help you achieve the goals that matter most to you.
So “Show Us Your Vision Board!” today on my Facebook Page. And please share this with your friends, family, coworkers and clients, and encourage them to show us their vision boards. Follow the hashtag #MyVisionBoard for more updates and tips.
